New Year's Eve Goal Review

Every year I set new goals for myself and for my writing. I posted my writing goals for 2010 on this blog along with my focus statement and my Top Five Priority List. You'll see that again in the New Year. But for now, I want to check my list to see how well I did in 2010.

Wow, I accomplished almost everything I asked myself to do this year. I love this list. And I love all the DONEs. These were reasonable and attainable goals. I can't wait to see what my list looks like in the new year after I sit down and think about 2011. I'm excited about all the upcoming possibilities and new directions I will go as a writer.

What goals did you set for the year? Did you revisit them? If you haven't set goals yet, I encourage you to write them down and post them somewhere (publicly or privately). Share your victories and celebrate your successes.

Focus on what you have accomplished this year and reward yourself for all your hard work.

And now it's time to usher in another new year with some champagne and dark chocolate.

Wowee Christine, that's amazing. I had a list of 7, not even that worthy and failed all of them.

I'm not worried. I accomplished other things not on the list that I'm pretty proud of -- I built a fence -- that was the big one and I hope it cancels out all the others. lol.

I hope God blesses you in this New Year and allows you to achieve any dream you have, any goal you set. You're an amazing woman Christine. Keep up the great work.

Hi Anne! Thank you for your kind words! Happy New Year to you. I'm most impressed that you built a fence!! I think that's so cool. And I know you managed to accomplish a lot with your writing, too. That query letter got you a few requests :-)

May all your dreams and hopes for 2011 come true.

Well Heck Christine! Look at you! WOW! Now I have to go dig out mine. I've been afraid to look at it. The big one thing I have to finish is still a lodestone around my neck...but it's coming along. (The MS revision)

But I did judge, I forgot I did! And went to a M&M, pitched, queried, and been rejected! *Yay chocolate & Wine*
It's all because you've been such an inspiration my wonderful friend.
Here's hoping that 2011 is even better for you than 2010~ :-)

Hi MaryC: I am so excited about this year, but I hope to accomplish even more in 2011. It is amazing how writing it all down helps me to remain focused. I am excited about your year in 2011 because you're starting to plot a new book. Keep me posted :-)

MV--Every time I look at how much YOU have accomplished this year as a writer, I get dizzy. You did all this with a full time job and a family to look after. Pretty amazing!! And yes, you judged! And you had a lot of firsts! I'm glad we were able to share so many of them together--especially the infamous road trips with the dreaded misleader "Tom Tom."

Here's to an even more exciting 2011 for you!!

Cheers!

Yay for you, Christine!!!

Way to go. That is so very awesome.

I haven't dug mine out yet. But I did get a lot of "spring cleaning" stuff done this weekend to start off the new year the way I want it... Does that count towards my 2011 goals...grin...

Have a very Happy New Year!!!

Tami
